The focus of therapy is to work towards bringing beneficial change to each client’s life. Support and relief can be accessed in the following ways:
  • High levels of stress and anxiety are proven causes of many human illnesses. Those who suffer these conditions may, however, be totally unaware of it but persistent symptoms can indicate that this could be the case. By both identifying and treating causal stressors the severity of symptoms, typically, tends to decrease; they can disappear entirely.

  • Psychotherapy can reduce dependence on, or may eliminate the need for medication. Patients already taking medication are, however, advised to continue to do so until the doctor issuing their prescription agrees to any changes.

  • A multidisciplinary approach is considered best practise where applicable.

  • Patients dealing with distress associated with a specific occurrence can learn to explore his or her feelings around the issue which can, subsequently, assist them to develop new skills and new ways of approaching their situation.
“Emotion, which is suffering ceases to be suffering as soon as we form a clear and precise picture of it”. Spinoza
